FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before starting your flooring project.
1Do you work on residential and commercial projects?
Yes. Heavy Duty Epoxy provides professional flooring solutions for both residential and commercial spaces, including garages, workshops, retail areas, offices, and more.
2Which flooring option is right for my space?
It depends on the look, use, and maintenance needs of your space. We offer Flake Systems, Solid Epoxy, and Metallic Epoxy. Our team can help you choose the best option based on your project and preferences.
3What is included in your installation process?
Our installation process includes proper surface preparation, concrete grinding, crack and surface repairs as needed, application of the selected flooring system, and a protective topcoat. The exact process may vary depending on the condition of the concrete and the system you choose.
4How long does installation take?
Most residential garage projects can be completed in one to three days, depending on the size of the area, concrete condition, and flooring system selected. We will provide a more accurate timeline before your project begins.
5Do I need to empty my garage before installation?
Yes. The work area should be completely empty before installation so our team can properly prepare and coat the entire floor. We recommend removing vehicles, storage items, furniture, and anything sitting on the floor before we arrive.
6Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. We offer a warranty on our installations. Warranty coverage depends on the flooring system and project conditions. We will explain the specific warranty details before your project begins.
7Why choose Heavy Duty Epoxy LLC?
We focus on proper surface preparation, professional installation, quality materials, and attention to detail. Our goal is to provide durable flooring systems that look great and are built for everyday use.
8How do I request a free estimate?
Simply contact us through our website and tell us about your project. You can also send us photos, approximate measurements, your location, and the flooring option you are interested in. We will review the information and provide you with a free estimate.
9Can epoxy be installed over damaged or cracked concrete?
Yes, in many cases. We inspect the concrete first and complete the necessary preparation, grinding, and minor crack or surface repairs before applying the selected flooring system.
10How soon can I walk or drive on my new epoxy floor?
For most projects, follow these guidelines after installation. Your team will confirm the exact cure time for your selected system and conditions.
11How do I clean and maintain an epoxy floor?
Routine sweeping and occasional cleaning with a soft mop and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner will keep the floor looking its best. Avoid harsh acids, abrasive pads, and dragging heavy sharp objects across the surface.
12Can I choose the color and finish for my floor?
Yes. You can choose from flake, solid epoxy, and metallic epoxy finishes. Our color options help you match the style, lighting, and use of your garage, workspace, showroom, or commercial area.
